The NASA/Astrophysics Data System is seeking a talented Back End Engineer
Your code will empower astrophysicists around the world to solve the mysteries of the universe.
- A back end expert with experience working in Python, Linux and shell programming.
- Familiar with web standards and technologies such as HTTP, REST, JSON, and XML.
- Able to build secure, reusable, scalable code to support applications, services and databases.
- Interested in architecting components of the ADS infrastructure such as a robust metadata enrichment platform, text mining pipeline, and notification service.
Based at the Center for Astrophysics within Harvard University, the Astrophysics Data System is a free, NASA-funded search engine used by every working astrophysicist around the world. We have a small dedicated team working on feature-rich platform using a modern development stack.
