The 2nd WIESP @ IJCNLP-AACL 2023

The 2nd Workshop on Information Extraction from Scientific Publications was held in hybrid mode (online and at Bali, Indonesia) at the IJCNLP-AACL 2023 (archive link) on November 1, 2023 and featured:

Our keynote speaker is Dr. Yuan-Sen Ting from the Australian National University, who will be presenting on “Can Artificial Intelligence Generate Meaningful Scientific Hypotheses?”.

FOCAL Shared Task

WIESP 2023 includes one shared task where we invite teams (individuals and groups) to come up with a system to tackle an automatic citation labeling challenge:

Participants will have the opportunity to present their findings during the workshop and write a short paper. The best performant or interesting approaches might be invited to further collaborate with the NASA Astrophysical Data System.
